What age group is this class designed for?
This class is designed for learners aged 13 to 18.
Does the student need previous finance knowledge?
No. The class introduces credit, debt, interest, and repayment from the basics.
What is the difference between credit and debt?
Credit is the ability to borrow money or receive something before paying the full amount. Debt is the amount that remains owed and must be repaid.
What is interest?
Interest is an additional cost that may be charged for borrowing money. It increases the total amount that must be repaid.
Does the class explain buy-now-pay-later services?
Yes. Students learn how these services work, why they can appear affordable, and how several repayment plans can become difficult to manage.
Is all debt bad?
Not necessarily. Some borrowing may support an important and carefully planned goal. The risk begins when the cost, purpose, or repayment plan has not been properly considered.
Does the class teach students how to apply for credit?
No. The class does not teach students how to obtain loans or credit products. It focuses on awareness, responsibility, and safer decision-making.
Does the student need a credit card?
No. Students can understand all the concepts through examples and practical activities.
What happens when someone misses a payment?
A missed payment may lead to late fees, additional interest, restricted services, financial stress, and harm to the person's credit history.
What should a student check before borrowing?
The student should review the need for borrowing, the full cost, interest, fees, repayment schedule, affordability, penalties, and possible alternatives.
Is the class practical or only theoretical?
The class is practical. Students compare realistic borrowing situations and create their own responsible borrowing decision guide.
Does the class include a final activity?
Yes. Students complete a guide that helps them evaluate future credit and payment offers responsibly.
Is this class part of a larger programme?
Yes. It is the fourth class in the Future Leaders in Finance & Business Program.
Does completing this class provide the full programme certificate?
This class contributes toward the programme requirements. The Future Leaders in Finance & Business Certificate is awarded after the learner completes all required classes and programme activities.
Can parents support the learning process?
Yes. Parents can review the final decision guide, discuss real-life borrowing examples, and help students understand the responsibilities connected to credit.
